Birding for Beginners
Canceled due to heat advisory.
Fall migration brings warblers, shorebirds and the first waterfowl of the season through the Oxbow. This easy two-mile walk is built for people who are new to birding: we go slowly, share spotting scopes, and talk through how to identify what you are seeing.
Loaner binoculars are available. Meet at the main parking area ten minutes before the start.
What to bring
- Binoculars, if you have them
- Sturdy shoes for a muddy trail
- Water and a warm layer
